It started out innocently. Ellie ignored the geese, and I encouraged them to go to the water.
But the families were just soooooo cute, I had to talk to the grownups and tell them how beautiful their babies are!
And the whole flock headed to the river, unfortunately followed by Ellie. The next thing I knew there was a huge cacophony of geese scolding, mixed in with some sort of construction that chose to begin just at that moment, right across the river!
This was my fault. I was cooing at the geese and their babies, and SOMEONE got very jealous. Otherwise she can't be bothered with the noisy things.
Ellie is lucky they only honked!
ReplyDeleteAnyone who has tangled with an angry goose soon learns to respect them. My older daughter is still nervous around geese, even in her thirties!
